Custom Eco-Crystalline Jewelry by Shawn Pilgrim (Circa 2017)
In 2017, I was commissioned to create custom jewelry for an international feature in Period Magazine. Rather than just providing existing pieces, I was hired to design and handcraft specific necklaces that would anchor the visual narrative of this high-fashion editorial.
Collaborating with photographer Carrie Strong, I developed these pieces under my brand, Eco-Crystalline, ensuring they met the rigorous aesthetic standards required for a global publication. This commission was a defining moment in my career as a designer—it shifted my work from a private craft into a professional, commercial service. Being sought out by an editorial team to bring a high-concept vision to life confirmed that my work had a unique, professional appeal that translated perfectly into the world of elite fashion photography.

Custom Handcrafted Eco-Crystalline Jewelry by Shawn Pilgrim (Circa 2017)
In 2017, I was commissioned to design a series of custom necklaces for a high-fashion editorial featured in Elegant Magazine. My brand, Eco-Crystalline, was brought into this project to provide the raw, sophisticated aesthetic that the publication is known for.
Working in partnership with photographer Carrie Strong, I handcrafted these pieces to serve as the visual centerpieces for the models. Being hired to create for a magazine with such a polished, high-fashion focus was a major milestone. It allowed me to showcase my ability to blend natural, organic elements with an elevated editorial style. This commission was a key moment in my career, proving that my work was not only artistic but met the professional demands of the international fashion industry.
